The museum offers plenty to discover and a range of activities for families.
There are a variety of trails and quizzes exploring the museum and garden, toys, and objects to handle. Children can also dress up as a Roman soldier, or relax on beanbags in the childhood gallery reading corner.
Family activity days and other events are held during the school holidays throughout the season. See the events calendar » for further information.
Visitors with buggies and pushchairs are welcome, with ramped access throughout the ground floor and garden.
High chairs are available on request.
Baby change facilities are available.
