Visiting the Museum

The museum welcomes visitors of all ages, families and groups. This section provides what you need to know when planning a visit to us.

Concession £2.75 (£2.50)
Child £1.10 (£1)
Family (up to 2 adults and 3 children) £9.35 (£8.50)
Season ticket (unlimited visits from 2 April to 3 November) £11 (£10)

The admission price includes admission to the period rooms, exhibition galleries and the walled garden. We would recommend allowing a minimum of 1 to 1½ hours for your visit.

The Gift Aid admission includes a 10 per cent voluntary donation. This allows the museum to reclaim tax on the whole amount paid (worth an extra 25%). This makes an enormous difference to us, with money raised from the scheme supporting the museum's work. Please note that you will be asked to pay the Gift Aid admission unless you request to pay the standard admission. If you are not a UK taxpayer or would prefer to pay the standard admission please let us know. Please note that a Gift Aid donation can only be made on behalf of family members.
