Special Opening at the Priest's House

The museum is celebrating Wimborne Minster Folk Festival.

To celebrate Wimborne Minster Folk Festival, the museum will be open on Friday 8 June, Saturday 9 June and Sunday 10 June 2018, 10am to 4.30pm, for the special admission price of £1 (children FREE).

As part of the Folk Festival the museum will also be hosting the Tashi Lhunpo Tibetan Monks from Wednesday 6 to Sunday 10 June. Over a period of five days they will be creating an image of a Buddha's palace out of millions of grains of coloured sand. Further details can be found at www.wimbornefolk.co.uk.

Discover the museum's stunning Roman wall paintings, the fascinating childhood gallery and a unique Victorian Valentine card collection as the museum tells the story of East Dorset. Explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse.

Wander through a beautiful walled garden, which features old varieties of fruit trees and colourful herbaceous borders. In the Garden Tea Room visitors can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink and a selection of delicious cakes.

If you would like any further information please contact the museum.
