Sally's Spring Surprise Activities

The museum will have a range of self-directed craft activities as part of a visit to the museum from the 14 to 21 February (closed Sunday), 10 to 3. Admission charges apply, and the house and tearoom will be open. The museum is located in the heart of the beautiful market town of Wimborne Minster. Discover our stunning Roman wall paintings, the fascinating childhood gallery and a unique Victorian Valentine card collection as the museum tells the story of East Dorset. Explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse. Wander through a beautiful walled garden, which features old varieties of fruit trees and colourful herbaceous borders. In the Garden Tea Room visitors can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink, a selection of delicious cakes, cream tea or light savoury snack. For the price of £5.50 for adults and £4.50 for concessions, the museum's annual pass can be used visitors an unlimited number of times during the museum's normal opening hours, with the exception of some special events and ticketed events. The museum's opening times for 2015 are: 2 February-31 March & 2 November-23 December, Monday-Saturday 10 - 3, and 1 April-31 October, Monday-Saturday 10 - 4.30.
