Explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse. Displays include audio descriptions and children's activities. Wander through a beautiful and peaceful walled garden. Our gift shop and tearoom complete any visit. From the 23 July to 30 August, Monday to Saturday, 'Sally’s Summer Sun Activities' will offer a range of self-directed craft activities as part of your visit. The museum's garden tearoom and patio, set in our tranquil walled garden, offers space to relax and enjoy a refreshing drink, including a choice of coffees, delicious cakes, cream tea, ice creams and light savoury snacks. The museum has a regular programme of changing exhibitions. 'Uniforms for All', sponsored by Bartletts School Wear and Berties Country, includes school uniform, the splendid black velvet regalia of a High Sheriff complete with small sword, and Boy Scout and Brownie uniforms.
