Explore period rooms from a 17th century hall to the working Victorian kitchen, finding out how life and work has changed in this historic townhouse. Displays include audio descriptions and children's activities. Wander through a beautiful and peaceful walled garden. Our gift shop and tearoom complete any visit. From the 24 to 31 May, Monday to Saturday, 'Sally's Marvellous May Activities' will offer a range of self-directed craft activities as part of your visit. The museum's Open Learning Centre (supported by the Heritage Lottery Fund) includes a multi-purpose learning and community space in addition to our tearoom where you can relax and enjoy a refreshing drink, including a choice of coffees, and a selection of delicious cakes, a cream tea and light savoury snacks. New exhibitions this year include 'Lost Tracks - Remembering East Dorset's Railways' and 'Uniforms for All'. 'Uniforms for All' is sponsored by Bartletts School Wear and Berties Country.
