Posted on 09 Oct 2013
The museum is hosting a display by Ferndown Historical Society until the 2 November.

The display was put together by Ferndown Historical Society and the display shows how Ferndown has grown over the years. Through the artefacts on display visitors can learn more about the Society's interests and role. The Society's motto is 'Fact and Truth', underlining its role in furthering the local history of the town and surrounding district. The objects on display have been collected by members of the Society and demonstrate various aspects of Ferndown's history including local sports, trades, people and the growth of the town over the years.

Visitors can discover more about the Society and how Fern Down became known as Ferndown. If you are interested in becoming a member, or want to learn more about the Society or the local history of Ferndown, please contact John Utting on 01202 897649.

The museum is open from Monday to Saturday, 10 to 4.30. Admission charges apply.
