Historic food

Posted on 16 Oct 2013
As part of Wimborne 10, the museum will be holding a historic cookery demonstration in its Victorian kitchen on Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 October, 10 to 4.

At different times over the weekend there will be the opportunity to discover some culinary tips from different periods in this cookery demonstration, ranging from the Romans to the Georgians.

Visitors to the museum can relax in the comfortable and airy surroundings of the garden tearoom. The beautifully crafted oak frame and windows accentuate views of the tranquil walled garden. When fine weather prevails further seating is available on the patio outside. The tearoom’s friendly staff serve a daily selection of delicious cakes, cream teas, coffees, teas and cold drinks.

Admission is FREE on both days. For further information please contact the museum.
