Wonderful Wimbledon Week

Posted on 01 Jul 2016
A hidden treasure in the centre of Wimborne Minster is the Garden Tea Room at the museum. Access to the tea room will be free for any tea room customers from Monday 4 July to Saturday 9 July. There is a separate admission charge for visitors to the house and museum. Set in the beautiful and idyllic walled garden, which features old varieties of fruit trees and colourful herbaceous borders, the Garden Tea Room offers a calm retreat from the hustle and bustle of daily life. Its seated patio provides an outdoor space to enjoy throughout the summer. Tea room visitors can choose from a selection of freshly ground coffees, a cup of tea or a range of traditional cold drinks. Homemade cakes, quiche and paninis are just some of the delicious treats on offer, along with a selection of ice creams and a cream tea or Gardener's Tea. The menu features a range of local Dorset products. Visitors are welcomed and served by the tea room's friendly staff. For this week only there will also be a special offer of a tea or coffee and a slice of cake for just £3. Alternatively visitors can try strawberries served with delicious clotted cream ice cream. If you would like any further information please contact the museum.
