Conservation Undercover

Posted on 20 May 2016
The museum is holding a talk on 'Conservation Undercover' with Freda Gibson-Poole, House Steward at Kingston Lacy, on Tuesday 7 June, 7.30pm. The talk describes an exciting new project by the National Trust to present conservation in action. As part of the project, visitors to Kingston Lacy last winter were invited to go on a journey of exploration wearing blue overshoes, gloves and using a torch. Their journey began in the Entrance Hall. All the rooms were dimly lit and the trained volunteers demonstrated to visitors how the Trust looks after its properties during the winter time. Tickets for the talk cost £6 and are available from Wimborne Tourist Information Centre or on 01202 886116. Booking is essential. Proceeds will go towards the care and conservation of the Priest's House Museum's collections. For further information please contact the museum.
