A WW1 Piece with BOK Theatre

Posted on 29 Jul 2015
The museum is the venue for bok Theatre's performance of 'A WW1 Piece' on Saturday 15 August, 2.45 or 4.45 (performance time approximately 50 minutes). This piece theatrically looks at the Great War. From the patriotic excitement and propaganda, to the boy soldiers, trench life, poets and shell shock victims, bok Theatre will seek to bring the reality of the conflict to life, taking the audience on a roller-coaster of emotions. Bok Theatre, a local Bournemouth based company established in 2011, strives to educate and inspire young people and make theatre accessible to all. Places for the two performances are FREE and can be reserved by contacting the museum. Entry to the house and garden will also be free on the day. Refreshments can be purchased from the Garden Tea Room, which will be open before and after the 2.45 performance and before the 4.45 performance. Booking is recommended as places are limited. The performance is suitable for adults, families and children aged 9 years and over. This event is supported by Wimborne Minster Town Council and is part of the Sting in the Tale Festival. Further details can be found at If you would like any further information please contact the museum.
