The museum can help answer your questions about East Dorset's heritage.
The museum's library has a large collection of information relating to life in Wimborne Minster and East Dorset. We have census details, trade directories, parish magazines, local ephemera, photographs and much more. There is also a large selection of local history and reference books.
Simple enquiries can be dealt with by telephone, letter or email but a personal visit is recommended when detailed research is required. Students and visitors are welcome to come and use the library by appointment. The library is accessed by a staircase. However, if you are unable to use the stairs, the museum's librarians are able to assist with any research. Photocopying facilities are available at a charge.
The museum is always happy to help identify objects for you but please note that we do not give valuations. This is a free service.
